Church buildingVacaville Bible Church held its first public meeting in September of 1972 in a storefront building on East Monte Vista Avenue. Mr. Wes Hamilton, a missionary with Bible Church Crusade of Northern California, served as the first Pastor. After the Church was established, John Watson was called as Pastor. Pastor Watson remained until the end of 1975. At his departure the Church went back under the Bible Church Crusade. In April of 1976 the Bible Church Crusade appointed Pastor Martin Blanton to serve as Missionary Pastor. He is still serving as VBC's Pastor today.

In the fall of 1976 the Church had grown out of the facilities on Monte Vista Ave. At that time a church facility on Williams Street was offered for sale and the Church voted to purchase it. The move was made shortly after. The Church continued to grow and in 1978 the property next door was purchased. The houses and garage were converted to classrooms, offices and a nursery. During this time a Christian school ministry, Faith Academy, was also started.

During the 1980s God continued to add to the congregation and efforts were made to find a site suitable for building a larger building. Property was eventually purchased on Brown Street and Browns Valley Parkway. After the sale of the Williams Street facility, the church spent two years in rented facilities at a Christian school, as work was started on the building. In October of 1989 the church moved into its current location at 490 Brown Street.

April 23, 2010, will be the 34th anniversary since Pastor Blanton and his wife came to the Vacaville Bible Church. We are so thankful to the Lord for His kindness to us and the faithful servant he has put in leadership of this church family.
